Founders of Kazaa and Skype launch Joost

Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis, co-inventors of Kazaa and Skype, are launching a new service called Joost that takes benefit of P2P technology to bring TV to the masses through the web.
It’s about time. Now YouTube has set new standards for video access on the web, many people are working on new paradigms to blow classic TV away. Joost seems to be very interesting because it offers a strong and flexible architecture to broadcast content AND to manage targeted advertising.
The MPAA won’t be happy, again… or maybe, this time, they eventually realize how much money they can make out of that kind of technology.
