First public demo of growwwing at BarCamp Montreal

February 22nd, 2007 | Under UI, announcements, clients |

Growwwing is described by its creator as “a marketing solution that enables them to wisely use the web. The users will be able and guided to simply create and manage their web site, gather form data, send newsletters, put ads on the Google network and follow all these marketing initiatives with an easy to understand statistics tool.

The whole interface architecture was designed by Thoreau ID taking benefit of advanced Ajax capabilities for extensive use of drag-and-drop, intuitive page editing, etc.

Our mission consited in hiding all the technical aspects of web site edition and management in favor of very life-like metaphors close to daily preoccupation of small businesseses. We had to merge advertising and CRM tools with dead simple web site edition tools (including image and document management) with a constant preoccupation to fit with actual needs of people who want to use the web to improve their business, now.

Growwwing is made for individuals, small businesses or community services that want to:

  1. Advertise localy on the web by putting a very simple and meaningfull metaphoric layer over the over-powerfull features of Google AdWords.
  2. Do proximity CRM with improved forms and e-mailing tools.
  3. Insure a dynamic and elegant presence on the web with its integrated web editor and templates

The Growwwing team will be present at DemoCamp Montréal this tuesday feb. 27, 2007. You can register here to attend the demo.

I will be there too, and quite proud to see the first public apparition of this great and very innovative product.

[...] -It was the first time I got to meet Guillaume Thoreau to show him some of the features we had been adding. I had a very high esteem for him because the specs I started working on last fall are simply the best designed I have ever had the privilege to work on. Our meeting just re-inforced that impression: In about 20 minutes, he offered suggestions for our current UI dilemmas. [...]

[...] growwwing is an upcoming web service for freelancers and small businesses. Thierry Poitras, from ibop, said he wanted to make it so easy that your aunt could use it to create their own website.
